What's trending?
Trends come, and trends go, but this year timeless jewels and heirlooms are taking center stage. Being on trend and remaining classy go hand-in-hand in 2025. If you ever wanted to invest in finery – now is the time!
Trend 1 – DIAMONDS.
Are they ever not in style? Absolutely, not! But this year diamonds are a non-negotiable. There is something truly magical about diamonds that can’t be explained. They are timeless, always make a statement and symbolize endless love. Several designers agree that diamonds will be a particularly big focus in 2025. Big, bold, fancy diamond cuts are gaining attention.
Trend 2 – Bangles.
Bangles made an appearance in 2024, and in 2025 they will continue to gain momentum. Bangles stacked or with unique shapes will be a bold addition to many outfits in 2025.
Trend 3 – A Spiritual Twist.
Manifesting, good vibes, and self-love have gone beyond being a trend and have become a lifestyle choice, and the jewellery industry is giving its nod of approval. British Vogue mentions a long list of spiritual charms being worn in 2025, including:
- Evil eye pendants,
- Star sign charms, and
- Lucky charms.
Trend 4 – More is More.
In 2025 the jewellery industry is a little extra! Think statement pieces, layering, eclectic styles, and maximalism. This year more really is more when it comes to jewellery.
Trend 5 – Silver Linings.
While gold is and will forever be a classic, silver is re-emerging as the prominent precious metal of the season. Think of this shift in trend as a return to silver, rather than a departure from gold. Gold remains a popular choice and is certainly the most timeless of the precious metals (see previous blog post: Investing in Luxury Jewellery – not just girl math) but silver is very much on trend in 2025.
Traditionally, silver is associated with “the girl next door” wearing dainty charms and classic hoops but this new reformed silver is all about making a statement. This season's silver styles are wearable art.
